Privacy

Short version: boardroute runs in your browser. Your circuits stay on your device, there are no cookies, no ads and no third-party services. The server keeps shortened access logs for two weeks and counts visits anonymously.

#Your circuits

The autorouter works entirely in your browser. Circuits, layouts and settings are stored in your browser's local storage and never sent to us. A share link contains the board inside the link itself (in the part after #, which browsers don't send to the server); it reaches only the people you give it to.

#Server logs

When you load a page, our web server records the time, the requested address, the referring page, your browser's user-agent string and your IP address with the last part removed (for example 203.0.113.0). We need this to run the site and to detect abuse. The logs are deleted automatically after 14 days. Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (legitimate interest in operating a secure website).

#Visitor statistics

We count visits with GoatCounter, hosted on our own server. It sets no cookies and stores no IP addresses: it records the page, the referring site, browser and operating system, screen size and the country, plus anonymous events such as "a layout was run". Nothing leaves our server. Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR.

#Fonts and other resources

All fonts, scripts and images are served from boardroute.com. No requests go to Google or other third parties.

#Your rights

You have the right to access, correction, deletion and restriction of your data, the right to object, and the right to lodge a complaint with a data protection authority. Since we can't link the shortened logs to a person, we usually hold no data about you. Contact: see the imprint.
